Evoke the sense of romance and adventure of an African safari with this handcrafted, safari inspired bed designed by Jorge Kurczyn. The bed has an arched, curved, framed headboard, and the top of the headboard is adorned with two, crossed, solid wood, stylized, elephant tusks. The tusks are cover with luminous, hand hammered copper in a mosaic design. Centered in the tusk is a contrasting, hand carved design, accented with a hand forged, iron ring. The padded front of the solid wood headboard is upholstered in a ¨V¨ shaped design with two types of simulated, animal print leather. The top design is upholstered in simulated, zebra print, full grain leather, and the lower design is covered with simulated, leopard print, full grain leather. The headboard is framed with tall, solid wood, side uprights, and each side upright has hand carved, floral designs on its front and is topped with a solid wood sphere. The footboard is built into a bench, and the bench has a top, centered, crown molding. The padded front of the seat back is upholstered in a "V" shaped design, and the top design is upholstered in simulated zebra print, full grain leather, and the lower design is covered with simulated leopard print, full grain leather. All of the upholstery is hand tacked to the frame with beautiful, gilt nails, and the leather is double stitched together for extra strength and durability. The top of the seat of the bench is covered in rich, brown, full grain leather, and the front and the sides of the seat are covered in simulated, zebra patterned, full grain leather. The bench is framed with solid wood uprights, and the uprights are decorated on its front with hand carved, floral designs, and topped with a hand turned, robust design. The bed rest on sturdy, square cut legs, and it has solid wood, side rails. It has an antique finish, and it is made with the best, sustainable, solid wood available. The bed is 100% customizable. It can be accompanied with our San Natalio Safari chair (CHR79) or with our Campeche Safari chair (CHR61).
